NHRC, UNHCR ADDRESS HUMANITARIAN NEEDS OF IDPs


The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) in collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for refugees (UNHRC) have put machineries in place to monitor the protection issues affecting the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in some parts of the North East and North Central geopolitical zones of Nigeria.

NHRC, STAKEHOLDERS LAUNCH PHASE II OF THE PROJECT ON CIVIL MILITARY RELATIONS IN NIGERIA


The National Human Rights Commission in line with its mandate is partnering with Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR) and CLEEN foundation to foster Civil/Military relations (CMR) in Nigeria. The objectives of CMR project is to strengthen Civil/Military relations by fostering sustained dialogue and improved understanding between Nigerian Armed Forces and the civil society to improve accountability, security, national cohesion and respect for human rights throughout Nigeria.
