Presidential Panel on SARS Reform led by Tony Ojukwu Esq, Executive Secretary NHRC submits Report to President Muhammad Buhari at the Presidential Villa.

Chairman Presidential Panel on SARS Reform Tony Ojukwu Esq has clarified media reports on the recommendations made by the Panel to the Federation Government.

The Panel among other recommendations suggested the establishment of state and Local Government Police.

Following this, President Muhammad Buhari has directed the Solicitors General of the Federation, the Inspector General of Police and the National Human Rights Commission to advice the Government on the implementations of the recommendations and submit their report within 3weeks.

The clarification has become necessary in view of news reports alleging that the Federal Government has approved the recommendations of the reports of the Panel which was submitted today.
