NHRC/DHQ CHART WAYS TO ADDRESS HUMAN RIGHTS CHALLENGES

The Ag. Executive Secretary National Human Rights Commission, Mrs. Oti Ovrawah received in audience the newly appointed Chief of Defence Civil Military Cooperation, Rear Admiral Jonathan Kesi Zimri Ango who paid a working visit to the Commission.

The visit was aimed at working out areas of collaboration between the newly established department of Civil Military Cooperation in the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) and the National Human Rights Commission in addressing human rights and humanitarian challenges experienced during military operations.

Mrs. Ovrawah assured the Real Admiral of the Commission's readiness to support the military to balance human rights with national security in military operations.
