1.0 Introduction

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) is organising a capacity building on Electronic and Web-based Complaint Handling for the North- West zonal staff of the National Human Rights Commission from 4th to 5th April 2026 at Haitel Guest Inn, 5 Madugu Link Sardauna Crescent, Kano, Kano state. This workshop forms part of the crucial activity under the Budget Line 157 of the Global Fund activity.

Discrimination against Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), Refugees, Asylum Seekers and Returnees is a significant issue that affects their rights and opportunities.

This is a Human Rights Based Approach Guidelines for Protection Referral Pathways for FDPs, Asylum-seekers, Refugees and Returnees. It deploys Principles of Human Rights Monitoring to deal with protection referral concerns of FDPs, Asylum-seekers, Refugees and Returnees under the NHRC/UNHCR Project

Corruption is a global phenomenon, an insidious plague that exits in nearly all societies, regardless of economic or political systems, and thrives in both public and private spheres albeit in varying degrees and has a wide range of corrosive effects on the society. The fight against corruption, its eradication and the entrenchment of good governance are two elements that among others enhance the enjoyment of human rights of a people in any given system.
